Trials and Tribulations: Partial understanding of Drupal site development
I am trying to learn how to set up a website using Drupal. Actually, I need to set up two websites, my own and one for the Social Economy Centre. Both websites are important to get up at this point, however I feel more comfortable playing around on this one. Well at the very least, writing a blog post.
So, why is it important for me to develop these two sites. This website, my personal one, has been on my to do list for a few years now. I have been involved with researching the impact of the Internet on adult education, community development and nonprofits for eight years. If you google me, I do have an online presence that speaks to the work that I have been doing. However, there was, until now, little real estate that I could claim as my own. The major reason that I am now developing this website has to do in part with something that I have explored, the issue of trust in online environments. It seems that carving out an Internet space and providing/developing content that speaks to who you are goes a long way in establishing your credibility and in helping other people trust you.
